- With its tendrils resembling vines, the schefflera will add an exotic touch to your home. Indoors, it can reach up to three meters in height, so it needs regular pruning. It’s one of those plants that requires regular care; however, the soil in which it grows should be dry. This way, it will survive even if you forget to water it.

- Native to New Zealand and Asia, this plant prefers shade. It’s self-sufficient and will let you know when it needs repotting: its roots will grow out of the pot. When it comes to watering, it prefers slightly dry soil rather than excessively wet soil.

Which houseplants don’t need much water?
Sansevieria.

Philodendron:
Elegant and naturally decorative, the philodendron requires minimal daily care. Especially in winter, the plant goes dormant and therefore requires very little water. On warm days, simply check the soil. If it’s dry, water it lightly.
Aloe Vera:
This succulent is perfect for beginner gardeners. It can be grown outdoors or in a pot indoors and tolerates temperatures down to 4°C (40°F). It only requires light watering once or twice a month.
Sedum Morganae:
This unique houseplant boasts oval leaves that resemble clusters of flowers. This succulent can be hung or placed on furniture or shelves to liven up your décor. It loves light and requires very little water.
Cactus.
This cactus, a timeless classic, is a low-maintenance plant. The golden rule is to water it moderately, not excessively, to avoid overwatering.
Aspidistra:
This plant is green most of the year and blooms with purple flowers in August. It is very frost-resistant, tolerates overwatering well, and can be grown in a dark corner of the house
