Variations & Tips
For a bit of a savory twist, you can add a cup of shredded cheddar cheese to the mixture before baking. If you like a bit of spice, a chopped jalapeño or a dash of cayenne pepper can add a nice kick. For a heartier dish, you might consider mixing in some cooked bacon or diced ham. And if you’re feeling creative, sprinkle some crushed crackers or breadcrumbs on top for a crunchy finish.
