Ingredients (makes ~12 muffins)
1¾ cups (220 g) all-purpose flour
¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
¾ cup (180 ml) milk
â…“ cup (80 ml) vegetable oil or melted butter
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease it.
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Mix Wet Ingredients:
In another bowl, whisk milk, oil (or melted butter), egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Combine Wet & Dry:
Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients.
Stir gently with a spatula until just combined — do not overmix. The batter should be slightly lumpy.
Fill Muffin Cups:
Divide batter evenly among the 12 muffin cups, filling about 2/3 full.
Bake:
Bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool & Serve:
Let muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
