Prepare the Salmon
Pat salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
Season both sides with a little salt π§ and pepper.
Pan-Sear the Salmon
Heat olive oil (or butter) in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Place salmon fillets skin-side down first.
Cook for 4β5 minutes, until golden and crispy.
Flip carefully and cook another 2β3 minutes, until almost cooked through.
Remove salmon and set aside on a plate.
Make the Honey Garlic Glaze
In the same pan, reduce heat to medium.
Add garlic and sautΓ© for 30 seconds until fragrant (donβt burn it!).
Stir in honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and chili flakes.
Let simmer for 1β2 minutes until slightly thickened and glossy.
Glaze the Salmon
Return salmon fillets to the pan.
Spoon glaze over the salmon continuously for 1β2 minutes, until fully coated and caramelized.
Finish & Serve
Garnish with parsley or green onions πΏ.
Serve with lemon wedges π.
Best enjoyed with steamed rice π, roasted veggies π₯¦, or mashed potatoes π₯.
π Tips & Variations
For extra richness, add 1 tbsp butter to the glaze at the end. π§
Use maple syrup π instead of honey for a different sweetness.
Add a splash of rice vinegar for tangy balance.
Works great with chicken, shrimp, or tofu too! π
