Prepare the Salmon
Pat salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
Season both sides with a little salt ๐ง and pepper.
Pan-Sear the Salmon
Heat olive oil (or butter) in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Place salmon fillets skin-side down first.
Cook for 4โ5 minutes, until golden and crispy.
Flip carefully and cook another 2โ3 minutes, until almost cooked through.
Remove salmon and set aside on a plate.
Make the Honey Garlic Glaze
In the same pan, reduce heat to medium.
Add garlic and sautรฉ for 30 seconds until fragrant (donโt burn it!).
Stir in honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and chili flakes.
Let simmer for 1โ2 minutes until slightly thickened and glossy.
Glaze the Salmon
Return salmon fillets to the pan.
Spoon glaze over the salmon continuously for 1โ2 minutes, until fully coated and caramelized.
Finish & Serve
Garnish with parsley or green onions ๐ฟ.
Serve with lemon wedges ๐.
Best enjoyed with steamed rice ๐, roasted veggies ๐ฅฆ, or mashed potatoes ๐ฅ.
๐ Tips & Variations
For extra richness, add 1 tbsp butter to the glaze at the end. ๐ง
Use maple syrup ๐ instead of honey for a different sweetness.
Add a splash of rice vinegar for tangy balance.
Works great with chicken, shrimp, or tofu too! ๐
