A Seamstress with 60 Years of Experience Told Me This Secret!

Threading a needle might seem like a simple task, but it’s not always as easy as it seems, especially when dealing with thin needles or thicker threads. Over the years, experienced seamstresses, including our grandmothers, have passed down some effective tricks for threading a needle, and these time-honored methods are still incredibly useful today.

Here are some practical home tricks that make threading a needle simple and effective:

1. Toothbrush Trick
Take an old toothbrush that you no longer use. Simply cross the thread from one side to the other across the brush. Then, take the needle and press it slightly against the side of the eye. The thread will easily slide through the needle’s eye thanks to the channel created by the toothbrush bristles.

2. Tablet or Blister Pack Trick
Take an empty blister pack or tablet pack and cut a thin strip from it. Make a small slit on one side of the strip, leaving a tip. Next, place the thread in the slit and pass the needle through the same hole. This method allows the thread to be guided safely through the eye of the needle.

3. Swab Trick
