Cheesy Potato-Stuffed Meatballs (Baked or Fried)
Ingredients:
For the meatballs:

500g ground beef (or a mix of beef and lamb)
1 small onion, grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp cumin (optional)
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 tbsp chopped parsley
For the filling:

2 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
½ cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
1 tbsp butter
Salt & pepper to taste
For coating (if frying):

1 cup flour
2 eggs (beaten)
1 cup breadcrumbs
For serving:

Marinara sauce or garlic yogurt sauce
Instructions:
Prepare the potato filling:

Mash the boiled potatoes while warm, then mix in butter, cheese, salt, and pepper.
Let it cool completely so it’s easy to shape.
Prepare the meat mixture:

In a bowl, mix the ground meat, grated onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, and seasonings.
Knead well until combined.
Shape the meatballs:

Take a small portion of the meat mixture and flatten it in your palm.
Place a spoonful of the cheesy potato mixture in the center.
Wrap the meat around the filling and roll into a ball.
Repeat with the rest of the mixture.
Cook the meatballs:

Option 1: Baked
Place the meatballs on a lined baking sheet.
Brush lightly with oil and bake at 200°C (400°F) for 20-25 minutes.
Option 2: Fried
Coat each meatball in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then roll in breadcrumbs.
Deep-fry in hot oil until golden brown and crispy.
Serve & enjoy!

Serve with marinara sauce, yogurt sauce, or mashed potatoes.
