2 eggs (beaten)
1 cup breadcrumbs
For serving:
Marinara sauce or garlic yogurt sauce
Instructions:
Prepare the potato filling:
Mash the boiled potatoes while warm, then mix in butter, cheese, salt, and pepper.
Let it cool completely so it’s easy to shape.
Prepare the meat mixture:
In a bowl, mix the ground meat, grated onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, and seasonings.
Knead well until combined.
Shape the meatballs:
Take a small portion of the meat mixture and flatten it in your palm.
Place a spoonful of the cheesy potato mixture in the center.
Wrap the meat around the filling and roll into a ball.
Repeat with the rest of the mixture.
Cook the meatballs:
Option 1: Baked
Place the meatballs on a lined baking sheet.
Brush lightly with oil and bake at 200°C (400°F) for 20-25 minutes.
Option 2: Fried
Coat each meatball in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then roll in breadcrumbs.
Deep-fry in hot oil until golden brown and crispy.
Serve & enjoy!
