Ingredients:
For the Onions:
2 large onions, thinly sliced
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp dried thyme
¼ cup beef broth
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
For the Meatloaf:
900g (2 lbs) ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
2 eggs
¼ cup beef broth
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
For the Filling:
1 ½ cups shredded Gruyère cheese (or Swiss cheese)
For the Glaze:
¼ cup ketchup
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
