Brown pork chops in an oiled skillet over medium-high heat. (optional)
Combine oil, ranch seasoning, and apple cider vinegar.
Place potatoes and pork chops in the slow cooker. Pour the Ranch mixture over the potatoes and chops and mix to evenly coat them.
Top with butter cubes.
Cook on high for about 3 hours. Cook on low for 5-6 hours. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
