For the crust:
Preheat oven to 350˚F. Cream together butter and sugar. Mix in flour. Press crust into bottom of greased 9”x13” baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Set aside.
For the top layer:
Combine brown sugar, vanilla, flour, baking powder, salt, coconut, and pecans in mixing bowl. Stir in egg and milk until mixture is uniform.
Pour topping over crust and bake for 25 minutes or until top has begin to set. Allow to cool for 30 minutes before cutting into squares to serve.
