– Place the gas cylinder in a well-ventilated place:
As gas is heavier than air, when it escapes, the gas will spill to the ground. Therefore, if the gas tank is placed under the kitchen cabinet, this place needs to be well-ventilated. The gas tank should be placed 1-1.5m away from the stove. And you should avoid placing it directly under the gas stove. The door of the gas tank cabinet must always be open or left open for easy observation, avoiding the situation where rats nest inside the gas tank cabinet or gnaw on the gas pipe.
– Location of the gas stove:
The gas stove base should be made of fireproof material. It is advisable to place the stove at least 15cm from the wall, 1-1.5m from the ceiling and 1.5m from other electrical equipment. Note, do not place anything on the gas pipe.
– Clean the stove regularly:
If the stove is old or rusty, it should be replaced to ensure safety. The gas valve and gas pipe need to be checked regularly to detect cases of punctured pipes, valve leaks, … causing gas to leak out. With gas pipes, it should be replaced after 3-5 years of use.
More
Gas is colorless, odorless, and tasteless, but the manufacturer has added additives in order that users can easily detect the smell of gas if there is a gas leak.
In case you smell this smell, absolutely do not turn on the light or fire to check the gas tank.
Gas is very flammable. If you turn on the light, lighter, or cell phone, it can create a spark and cause the gas to ignite immediately. At this time, open all the doors to let the air circulate, the gas will automatically escape, reducing the gas concentration in the kitchen.
